Summer Shred is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting Portland’s local rock and metal scene. As a FREE, volunteer-supported, annual festival, we provide a platform for emerging local artists to reach larger audiences, while simultaneously ensuring that live music remains accessible to the broader community. Beyond the stage, Summer Shred fosters cultural enrichment, economic benefits, and community development. By supporting local musicians, we strengthen Portland’s creative economy while keeping the spirit of live rock alive for future generations.
